Professor emeritus of Commercial Law, Catholic University of Milan; Adjunct Professor of Law, University of Macau (China); Expert specially appointed by the Government to represent the Republic of Italy at several UNCITRAL Working Groups on transnational insolvency and e-commerce; Co-director of the review “Diritto commerciale interno ed internazionale” published by Giappichelli; Member, editorial staff of several law reviews; President, Collegio dei Probiviri of Borsa Italiana – Italian Stock Exchange; former member of the Arbitration Council (Consiglio Arbitrale) of the Milan Chamber of Commerce (mandate expired at the end of March 2011), President of the Governing Council of Institut International pour l’Unification du Droit Privé (UNIDROIT).
